Google Ads and Meta Ads benchmarks by industry
Typical cost per click, click-through rate, CPM, cost per lead, CPA, conversion rate and ROAS for ten industries, drawn from real ad accounts and published only when the sample is large enough to trust.
Benchmarks by industry and platform
We are still collecting data. Pages appear here as soon as at least 10 ad accounts contribute to an industry and platform. Last updated September 28, 2026.

Methodology
Where the data comes from
The benchmarks are calculated from anonymized ad accounts managed by BusySeed in the United States and by Zeed / The Honest Agency in the Middle East and North Africa, plus Adalyze AI users who opted in to contribute anonymized metrics from their own Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts.
When we publish a number
We publish a figure only when at least 10 distinct ad accounts contribute to it. That rule applies to every industry and platform page, to every metric on it, and to every country breakdown. Where the sample is smaller, you will see "Not enough data yet" instead of a number.
How the figures are calculated
Each account is summarized over the period, then we take the median across accounts, along with the 25th and 75th percentiles. The median is the middle account, so a handful of very large or very unusual accounts cannot pull it up or down the way they would move an average. The 25th to 75th percentile range shows where the middle half of accounts sit.
Period and updates
The pages are regenerated monthly. Last updated September 28, 2026.
Privacy
We never publish client names, account IDs or any figure that comes from a single account. Industry figures are aggregates only.
What the metrics mean
- Cost per click (CPC)
- Ad spend divided by clicks. Lower is better, as long as the clicks convert.
- Click-through rate (CTR)
- Clicks divided by impressions, as a percent. A sign of how well ads match the audience.
- Cost per 1,000 impressions (CPM)
- What it costs to show an ad 1,000 times. Driven by audience size and competition.
- Cost per lead (CPL)
- Ad spend divided by leads, such as form fills, calls or bookings.
- Cost per acquisition (CPA)
- Ad spend divided by conversions, the actions an account counts as results.
- Conversion rate
- Conversions divided by clicks, as a percent.
- Return on ad spend (ROAS)
- Conversion value divided by ad spend. A ROAS of 3.00x means three dollars of revenue per dollar spent.
